Since 1978, our mission has been the same: to provide counseling and support services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

SERVICES
Staff is continuing to conduct intakes, at this time.
Shelter Services – We are able to provide emergency shelter. We make decisions about shelter placement based on imminent danger, and the ability to be stable in a lone environment (with considerations for drug use, mental and physical health).
Helpline Services -443-279.0379- our helpline continues to be answered 24/7.
Advocacy Services – we are continuing to provide these services via phone and virtually.
Anti-Trafficking Services – we are continuing to provide these services via phone and virtually. Key staff is able to participate remotely in meetings, such as MDTS. We are unable to conduct in-person assessments at this time but are able to do so remotely for our partners, including the Department of Juvenile Services and the Department of Social Services.
Clinical Services – we are providing individual therapy remotely at this time. Group therapy services have temporarily been stopped while we assess the most confidential way to provide these services.
Legal Services – our partners at Legal Aid are continuing to provide services remotely. We are able to provide assistance in family law, criminal victim rights, and civil matters. Additionally, we can support clients through the protective order process.
Abuser Intervention – we have temporarily suspended our AIP programming while we take the time to identify the best method for continuing to provide these services.
Community Engagement/Education – We are identifying ways to continue these services but will not be conducting any in-person training.
TurnAround is a private, nonprofit agency that is funded in part by a Victims of Crime Act Grant, the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, and State of Maryland Department of Human Resources. TurnAround is registered with the Maryland Secretary of State as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit agency.
